I’ve been seeing Dr. Bentz & Paula for over 16 years!  I couldn’t be happier with their high level of professionalism and patient care.  They always go above and beyond to make sure that I am informed about my dental health and treatment options.  Dr. Bentz uses digital xrays and quarterly cleanings to help prevent any issues before they actually start.  I actually look forward to my dental appointments for I feel like I am part of their extended family.  Thank you Dr. Bentz and Staff for all that you do.  I highly recommend their practice if you are in need of a great dentist in the Boulder area.  I’d be lost without them 🙂

Growing up I absolutely hated going to the dentist. This dentist office has completely reversed that feeling. By focusing on the comfort of the patient, all procedures are taken care of with the utmost skill and professionalism combined with a lovely, soothing atmosphere. Just put your headphones on and relax while your teeth are shined up. BEST dental office in Boulder conveniently located right near Whole Foods in the heart of Boulder. Fantastic people. I’ve been going there for years and wouldn’t dream of switching.

A wonderful experience as far as going to the dentist goes. Dr Bentz is highly knowledgeable, very professional and hugely experienced. He takes the time to teach and discuss all the procedures being performed. He also uses the most up to date technology. The atmosphere is so pleasant with their dogs greeting each patient at the door. Paula, his wife and admin assistant is very kind and helpful. She does an outstanding job of making sure all claims are sent into your insurance and you’re only paying out of pocket what is due. It is definitely a business of quality vs quantity. The staff is small and very attentive to your needs. I highly recommend Dr Bentz and his team for your dental needs.

Great work and the environment makes even the most nervous (like me) dental patients comfortable.  Everyone is very nice and super gentle and make sure you are comfortable the entire time.  They are also very good at explaining everything to me in detail.  THANKS!

I have been with Dr. Bentz since the late ’70s when I was an undergraduate at the University.  I have appreciated the attention and care he and his staff have provided me for nearly forty years.  I highly recommend him for dental care!

Dr. Michael Bentz has been my dentist since 1989.  Shortly after moving back to Boulder, I had a dental emergency and hadn’t found a dentist yet.  Dr. Bentz came in on his day off to take care of me as a brand new patient!  Since then, I have had a lot of work done to fix my neglected teeth.  Over the years I have moved to and from Boulder a few times and each time I tried to find a dentist in another state, the entire staff would be called in to look at the great work done on my teeth.  One of the dentists even refused to fill a cavity and told me to wait until I was back in Boulder to have Dr. Bentz take care of it!!!

Michael Bentz has been my dentist for over 10 years.Paula and his office staff treat me  like family.  He’s extremely competent and uses state of the art methods. Since starting there, I never had to go back for the same cavity over and over like I did with some others. In a world where many things are becoming so impersonal, I’m lucky to have a dentist and staff that I actually enjoy going to visit, as much as anyone can enjoy dental work. They have treated our family with affection and respect, considering the whole person and our individual needs. I highly recommend him and his staff.

Dr. Bentz is an amazing dentist with talent that cannot be matched. He was top of his class every year at Marquette, and graduated number one in his class overall. He’s been practicing for more than 30 years. I’ve seen some great dental work, but his work is near perfection. The team is close knit and friendly. You will always be greeted with a smile and some wonderful furry friends. Everyone here is treated like family. Patients are thoroughly informed with detailed, step-by-step, information regarding the treatment that needs to be completed and all other pertinant information that they need. Dr. Bentz answers all questions and will make sure you feel comfortable at every visit. If you want a dentist that knows his stuff, staff that treats you like their family, comfortable, gentle, and thorough teeth cleanings, and excellent treatment, this is the place to be. You won’t be better taken care of anywhere else.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Bentz for about 20 years and for good reason. Dr. Bentz, Paula and the rest of the staff are as nice as they come. The professionalism is tops as is the work he has performed. He has saved many teeth, made my smile something to be proud of and kept me in good health. I love that they use the latest equipment (and not just dental equipment; years ago they were the first I ever heard of to have an iPod for patients’ use!).
Paula is always looking for the best way to use my insurance and save me some money.  And it sure doesn’t hurt to have those lovely dogs around to pet and help calm me down (hey, who doesn’t get at least a little tense walking into a dentist’s office?).

I have been going to Dr. Bentz for 13+ years.  The staff is super friendly and they make you feel very comfortable.  I am very happy with my dental health and the  treatments I have received.  I actually look forward to coming in for cleanings!!

Before I found Michael as my dentist it had been several years since I received dental care because of bad experiences in the past. When I first came in I was nervous, but everyone was so friendly including his dogs Rowdy and Amber that any nervousness went away.
Not only does he use the newest dental technology available he actually sat me down and explained to me  how it works. This way I didn’t have to worry about him taking advantage of my ignorance and charging me for processes that were unnecessary. He also showed me pictures of the problem areas as he was working so I could see how much decay he was actually removing.
He also actually listens to his patients and when I told him about my canker sore problem he was careful not to scrape any part of my mouth which has happens at every other dentist I have been to. This has saved me days of pain after every appointment.
Still my favorite part personally is that when I am nervous about getting shots (I am quite afraid of needles) he will actually call his dog into the room for me to pet which calms me down and makes me feel much better. I’m my opinion this makes dental appointments actually enjoyable which is something I have never said before.

Over the years, I have gone to many dentists & had many traumatically painful dental experiences. I was born with a cleft pallet and as a result had sensitive issues regarding my mouth, many dentist were very rough. Growing up- because my parents insurance would change, I saw a lot of different dentists.

Doctor Michael Bentz has changed the way I view dentists. I first found his dental office in 2010 when I was having severe pain and needed a root canal. The staff has always been friendly and will do anything they can to make their patients feel more comfortable. I have been offered neck warmers, headphones, happy gas, and they even have Golden Retrievers on hand for therapy if requested.

I remember one day, when I had a dental visit and then had to work immediately after. I was so happy at work and people asked me why. I said “I went to the dentist this morning”.

I have worked with many different staff members over the past 5 years. Some have gone and been replaced with new faces, but this office always hires excellent people. Paula works at the desk and she is happy to help arrange payment options, insurance and scheduling.

I am really happy with my experience at this dental practice. Healthy teeth affect a person’s entire health. I have never felt better and I am so glad I found this office.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bentz for over 10 years.  I was originally attracted to his dental philosophy, which he willingly shared in one-on-one conversations with me.  He has always taken the time to answer my questions or address any concerns about my treatment.
His attention to detail both in terms of his skills and use of state-of-the-art equipment is second to none.  I can honestly say I trust him with my dental health completely.  I have had my share of challenging dental issues including extractions, root canals with crowns, cracked teeth and old fillings needing replacement.

I have been going to Dr Bentz for over 12 years.  I had gone to several other dentists in the area before I found out about Dr Bentz but none of those dentists made me feel as comfortable as Dr Bentz.  He is personable and listens to your concerns.  His staff is professional and friendly.  I am glad I found him and his incredible staff.

Dr. Bentz was able to identify deep cavities under my ancient silver fillings. My dentist back east said my teeth were fine. It took a lot of work but we got all the silver fillings out and replaced. He explained everything very well. As another poster said they do not schedule a lot of patients so there is never a wait.

I have been seeing Dr. Bentz since I was a child and he had quite the challenge ahead of him. I was always terrified of the dentist from previous bad experiences at dentists. His staff has ALWAYS been overly courteous and in knowing my fears, will always do their best to help me relax and make me comfortable.

I had terrible teeth when I was a kid because of all of the common factors but they have helped instruct me on better ways to take care of my teeth and now my checkups are always great. I have a chip on my front tooth that occasionally has a filling that falls off. I would always be the first to notice it (other than Dr. Bentz of course!) and no one else thinks it’s a big deal. When it fell off on a Friday when the office was closed, I left a message for a referral to get it filled. Dr. Bentz personally came in and took care of it for me.

He truly values his patients and wants them to have the best smiles they can. The staff is great and genuine. I no longer fear the dentist and never have pain during procedures. They take AMAZING care of me! I travel 1 hour to my dentist because I won’t trust anyone else with my teeth!

Dr Bentz and staff are consumate professionals, genuinely concerned with your dental health.  My composite fillings have lasted far beyond what is normally expected. All of the work Dr Bentz has performed for me has fit perfectly.  Bite adjustments are done quickly and promptly without having to wait for an appointment. Over the twenty years I have been going to this office, I have rarely had to wait much beyond my scheduled appointment. Dr Bentz and staff have been infinitely patient with my young one, taking time to make her feel comfortable, easing her into the procedures. The office works with my dental insurance in advance and advises me of all out of pocket costs so I can choose if and when to have a procedure. There have never been any surprises.

Dr Bentz is very thorough and I feel wants the best for your teeth that he can provide.  I agree with Steve S review.     You can say no thank you to suggested procedures you’re not comfortable with.     I found the staff friendly and would recommend them.
